The women hid the masks in a granary; however, the village men found the masks and kept them secretly somewhere else because their possession had stirred up animosity and roused arguments among the women.
A little while later, when the men were in the forest, the Yeben turned up and imposed that, from then on in order to keep the masks under their possession, the men should comply with special ceremonies to make them sacred.  The village men were also taught the Yeben’s secret language, Sigui so. 
From that day forward, the village men started a very well-structured men’s society and organized mask festivals in Yugó Doguru.
